Dancing on the Seine in Summertime - Paris Nightlife

Summer time dancing in Paris is amazing. To begin with there are many free events held outdoors. Indeed ne of the best for Cuban salsa is Cubaila en Seine. For the 3rd season, during Summer 2023, the Musica Bailay Vivio Association hosts the the Cubaila en Seine evening. Moreover it’s free and held on Fridays. Specifically the dates for summer 2023 are as follows:

Nightclubs for dancing - Paris Nightlife

Here are our top Paris Nightlife recommendations for nightclubs & bars that feature Salsa, bachata and or Kizomba dancing on a regular basis.

La Pachanga – Located at 8th street vandamme 75014 Paris is a haven for lovers of Latin music and dance. The club has a fun and lively atmosphere, and is known for hosting some of the best Bachata and Salsa parties in the city. The club primarily caters to the Latino community, but it’s open to all lovers of latin dance.

Currently Bachanga Fridays have beginner Bachata dance classes from 7:30pm-8:30pm.

Intermediate Bachata dance classes from8:30pm-9:30pm.

Latino mixed evening from 9:30 to 0500! The cover charge is between 12 -14 euros and included a drink.

Le Balajo – Every Tuesday evening this is the place to dance Salsa, Bachata in Paris! Located at 9 rue de Lappe, 75011 Paris, Le Balajo has been around since the 1936 and is known for hosting a range of events.

It provides a wonderful opportunity to dance Bachata and Salsa in a vibrant and lively atmosphere. They also play some Kizomba music but Kizomba dance lovers should head directly to Saida on Tuesday nights.

Cuban Salsa dance classes start at 19:30 for beginner salsa and at 20:30 for intermediate salsa, with instructors Herminio & Carole. The Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba (SBK) party start at 9:30pm until 0200am.  Currently these parties are hosted by DJ Jim Gsalsa!

Paris Nightlife- Dancing in the park

Dancing in the Park - Paris Nightlife

During the Spring, Summer and Autumn of 2023, the Musica Baila y Vivo Association has salsa afternoons in the Parc des Cormailles in Ivry-sur-Seine. Moreover admission is free for all.

Specifically the Saturdays for the 2023 season are below: 

08/19/2023, lessons with Nathalie & Wilson.

09/02/2023, lessons with Cyrielle & Carlos.

9/09/2023, Cuban/Casino Salsa lessons with Aurore. 

09/23/2023, Cuban Salsa lessons with Nadege & Bairam.

10/07/2023, No class. Animation is by G.Tumbao and Herve El Loco.

10/14/2023, Salsa suelta and couple lessons with Livan. Animation by G. Tumbao.

The music for these dates are mainly Cuban Salsa with Caribbean breaks.

The lessons always start at 2 p.m. After that, the dancing is from 3p.m. until 7p.m.

Additionally the dance floor is wooden planks but high heels are not recommended. The dance floor is 300 m², half of which is covered by an awning allowing you to dance if the weather is bad. If you would like more information, then check out their Facebook group.

Yearly Paris Nightlife Events & Festivals

Paris is also renowned for its yearly events as well as its festivals dedicated to showcasing Latin-inspired and African inspired dances. 

Firstly the Paris International Salsa Congress – This event is held annually bringing together some of the most renowned Bachata and Salsa dancers from all over the world. The congress features a range of workshops that cater to both beginners and experts. Moreover, you can enjoy a range of live performances and social events throughout the festival.

Secondly the Paris Bachata Festival is held every November in Paris and is a major Paris Nightlife event.

Thirdly the Eiffel Tower Kizomba Festival features Kizomba dancing and is held every August and is a major Paris Nightlife Event each year.
